The main topics discussed during the Symposium include experiments, theory, simulation, space and others. The invited speakers concentrated on the various laboratory double layers, theoretical and numerical treatments of double layers and the existence of magnetospheric double layers. The last topic in particular inspired much lively and interesting debate among the participants.
