The new school year is underway and Roosevelt High's Halloween-themed homecoming dance is right around the corner. Abby, as competitive as ever, is preparing for the dance-off. Her boyfriend, Pete, whether he likes it or not, is along for the ride. Even though it's October, Jon has yet to finish his summer assignment on the civil war. Upon visiting the Spritzer's plantation house for some last minute research, the Brewsters discover a strange and eerie presence in the house. Did Jon's civil war research stir up the spirit of an old civil war general? Is Mr. Spritzer holding back on what he knows about the old house? Drawn in by the historical aspect of the haunting, Jon must alleviate the worrisome fears of his tag-along cousin as they encounter unexplained footsteps, flying swords, flame-spitting chimneys and green-glowing apparitions. Will time travel save them this time? The Brewster Boys and the Haunted Homecoming is the third title in a series of books written by Stephen Dittmer. Stephen graduated from George Mason University with a Bachelor's in History and a Master's in Education. He currently teaches high school history in Prince William County, Virginia.
